On this Independence Day, we pause to reflect on the extraordinary courage and unwavering faith that built this nation. July 4th is more than fireworks and parades—it’s a celebration of the freedoms we cherish and a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made to secure them.
As a veteran and your representative in the North Carolina House, I hold a deep respect for the men and women—past and present—who have defended the ideals of liberty, self-governance, and personal responsibility. These principles are not just history—they are the foundation of our future.
Today, let us come together as families, neighbors, and Americans to honor our nation’s founding. Let us teach our children the value of freedom and the responsibility that comes with it. And let us renew our commitment to keeping North Carolina and America strong, safe, and free.
