2023: Record Infrastructure & Local Support
- $30 million for Water & Wastewater Infrastructure – A historic investment to modernize Chowan County’s water and sewer systems, ensuring reliable access to clean water and supporting future growth.
- $200,000 for the East Coast Greenway Trail – Funding for trail development in Chowan and neighboring counties, creating outdoor recreation opportunities and boosting tourism.
- $2.8 million for the Edenton Historical Foundation – Preserving and enhancing one of our region’s most important cultural assets.
- $4.5 million for Northeastern Regional Airport (Town of Edenton) – Infrastructure improvements to expand regional air travel and economic development.

- $50,000 for the Center Hill–Crossroads Fire Department – Supporting first responders with capital improvements and equipment upgrades.

- $6.1 million for Hayes Manor and the Samuel Johnston Historic Farm – Preserving 194 acres of historic land and adding it to the Edenton State Historic Site.
- $320,000 for Chowan Farm Heritage – Protecting and expanding farmland heritage for future generations.
